Does Windows 7 have Quick Assist? We are sorry to tell you that there is no Quick Assist option in Windows 7. Quick Assist is only available on Windows 10,11, but you can use other alternatives to access Windows 7 computers.
Use Quick Assist alternatives on Windows 7 [2 options]
Though Quick Assist is incompatible with Windows 7, you can use the following remote access tools.
Option 1. Remote Assistance [Windows built-in feature]
You can use Microsoft’s older but still useful Windows Remote Assistance tool, which includes Windows 7, 8 and 10.
Step 1. On remote computer, click Start and then locate Computer. Right-click it and select Properties.
Step 2. Click Remote settings on the left pane.
Step 3. Go to Remote tab, tick Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer. Then click Apply > OK.
Step 4. Search for Remote Assistance in the start menu and open it.
Step 5. Click the option: Invite someone you trust to help you.
Step 6. Click Save this invitation as a file.
Step 7. Send your partner the invitation file and password.
Step 8. Open the file on the local computer, enter the password, and click OK.
Step 9. There will be a pop-up window on the remote computer. Click Yes to confirm the connection.
Step 10. Then you can see the remote desktop. If you want to take control of it, click Request control in the upper left corner.
Step 11. The remote computer needs to click Yes to allow the remote control.
